Mrs. Laverne M. Swayne Arnett age 65 of Fredericksburg, VA; formerly of Gary, WV, who departed this life on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.  She was the daughter of Mrs. Marvelene Swayne Simon of Bluefield, WV and the late Lawrence Swayne.  She was a 1973 graduate of Gary High School and a faithful member of Sylvannah Baptist Church in Spotsylvania, VA 

Laverne is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Jerry Arnett  and sons Jason Arnett and Ryan Arnett all of the home; her mother, Marvelene and siblings:  Karen Willoughby, Lawrence Scott (Jackie) Swayne, Lloyd Steve Swayne, Gilda (Gregory) Brewton, Angela Johnson, Vernon “Cliff” (Tracy) Swayne, and Tina (Darryl) Houston and a host of nephews and nieces.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
