Daniel Adam (Danny) Nystrom, 45, of Surfside Beach, SC, passed away unexpectedly at his home from a heart attack on Monday, January 25, 2021.
Born October 10, 1975 in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Vic Nystrom and Judy Nystrom of Welch, WV.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, Victor and Ruby Nystrom and George and Doris Crawford.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Nystrom of Welch, WV, one sister, Janna Lowery and husband Steve of Morgantown, WV, and one brother, Scott Nystrom, of Princeton, WV. He is also survived by a nephew and two nieces, Drew and Julia Lowery of Morgantown, WV and Lyla Nystrom of Princeton, WV whom he adored and who they considered to be the best “Uncle Dan” in the world.
Danny was a graduate of Mount View High School and of the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was an avid golfer, who loved playing the game with family and friends.
He has worked for many years at Crabby Mike’s Restaurant and will also be greatly missed by his work family, whom he loved dearly. He was also so proud to be an honorary uncle to his little buddy Jackson Ryals.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private family service was held on Saturday, January 30th with Fanning Funeral Home in Welch in charge of the arrangements. A celebration of Danny’s life is being planned by family and friends, to be held in Surfside Beach, date as yet to be determined.
