RICHARD WILLIAM REYNOLDS

Richard William Reynolds, 82 of Bull Creek, West Virginia passed away January 27, 2021, at the Charleston Area Medical Center, surrounded by his children, other family, and friends.

Born October 13, 1938, at Mohawk, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Moran and Gracie Bailey Reynolds.

Richard was a retired coal miner, electrician, and carpenter. He could pretty much do anything.  He loved going to church when he was able. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Old Regular Baptist Church for 40 years.  Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and 

great-grandfather.  He loved to reminisce about the old days and loved to sing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Freddie Ray Reynolds; an infant grandson, Kenneth Douglas Reynolds; sisters, Florine Justice and Ermel Cline; brothers, Wilson Reynolds, Benny Reynolds, and Franklin Delano Reynolds.

He leaves behind five children, Coni (Sam) Runyon, Johnny (Trecia) Reynolds, Kenneth (Mary) Reynolds, Loretta (Scott) Hanes, and April (George) Thomason; eight grandchildren, Joseph Reynolds, Cody (Kimberly) Clevenger, Shaina Reynolds, Taylor (Kayla) Cole, Cassidy (Lindsey) Cole, Logan Hanes, Ashley Collins, and Brayden Collins; one great-grandchild, Braxxlyn J. Mullis; one sister, Margaret Stone; one brother, Dexter Reynolds; and one special friend of the family, Bob Cole.

Richard requested to be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at the Mt. Zion Old Regular Baptist Church, Bull Creek, West Virginia, with Elders Danny Hurley, Danny McCoy, Dallas Dotson, and Fred Bailey officiating. Family and friends will begin gathering at 11:00 A.M., with the service beginning at 1:00 P.M.
