KIMBALL, W.Va. – The 2nd day of the immunization program for COVID-19 is underway today at the old Kimball Walmart. Kimball Police Chief S. P. “Pat” McKinney said State and Sheriff’s officers kept participants flowing smoothly. Kimball police and Fire department, as well as STAT and JANCARE ambulance assisted McDowell County Health Department with the process.

Earlier this week, the McDowell County Health Department reported three new COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 18 of lives lost.

16 additional cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Wednesday and another 10 were reported Thursday afternoon. As of press time, there are currently 60 active cases with 15 currently hospitalized and 2 on a ventilator.
