Charlie Denny Ray Carter Jr, 37, of Roderfield WV, gained his wings on Friday, March 5, 2021. Born August 14, 1983, at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, he was the son of Molly Derossett Carter of Roderfield WV and the late Charlie Carter of Beaver WV. Charlie loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and digging ginseng. In his spare time he enjoyed drawing, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his beloved daughter Chloe and his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers Quill DeRossett and Jim Amburgey.

Survivors include his only daughter Chloe Carter of the home, mother, Molly Carter of Roderfield WV, maternal grandmother Pauline DeRossett Amburgey, step father Billy Charles of Premier WV, two sisters, Paula Stinson and husband Chris of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Heather Barber and husband Sean of Welch WV, two nieces and three nephews that he adored, Brianna Carter, Ethan Stinson, Gavin Stinson, Hailey Barber, and Aaron Barber, Paternal grandparents, Harold and Betty Carter of Beaver WV.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 12 Noon from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with Pastor Randall Dority officiating; burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell WV. Pallbearers will be, Scott DeRossett, Brenson DeRossett, Michael DeRossett, Billy Charles, Sean Barber, and Jack Greene. Friends may call Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon, at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch. Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced.
