COALWOOD, W.Va. – Cleanup efforts will soon be underway in the Coalwood community.

“Our Adopt-a-Highway Clean up will be held on Saturday, April 24th, weather permitting,” said Reba Bolt of Coalwood. “Any interested volunteers are welcome to join us.”

If weather cancels this Saturday’s clean up, it will then be rescheduled to Saturday, May 1st.

“We will meet at the Coalwood Methodist Church at 9:00 a.m. where we will begin,” said Bolt.

Garbage bags and gloves will be furnished for picking up litter along the roadways.

“No household garbage, appliances, etcetera will be picked up or disposed of, but everyone is encouraged to pick up around their homes and yards,” said Bolt.
