At yesterday’s Board of Education meeting, local Young Writers Contest competitors were recognized for their efforts: Kara McKinney, County 1st place and State 2nd place in Grades 1-2 from Welch Elementary; Addison Hunt – county 1st place in Grades 3-4 from Iaeger Elementary; Aidan Baker- county 1st in grades 5-6 from Sandy River Middle; Kristen Justice – county 1st in grades 7-8 from Sandy River Middle; Alisha Sloane – county 1st in grades 9-10 from River View. And not pictured is Kelly Coe, 1st place in grades 11-12 from Mount View.
