Johnny Wesley Mitchell, 57 of Welch, WV passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born December 3, 1963 at Welch, WV he was a son of Beulah Mitchell of Welch, WV and the late Everett Mitchell. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a very kind hearted person who was so full of life. Johnny loved practical jokes, loved his dog Scout, enjoyed hanging out with his friends, and hanging out in his mancave “Johnny’s Building”.
In addition to his mother, Beulah Mitchell he is survived by his son, Eric Mitchell and companion Shyanne of Cucumber, WV; his sister, Tammy Hutchinson and husband, Frank of Taylorsville, NC; brothers, Allen Mitchell of Cucumber, WV and Jeff Mitchell of Welch, WV; one grandchild, Keaton Mitchell and another on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Friday, April 30, 2021 at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with Pastor Ralph Brewster officiating. Burial will follow at Big Creek Cemetery at Cucumber, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Donald Burke.
