Richard Ottis Morgan, 62, of Iaeger passed away Wednesday April 28, 2021 at his residence.

Richard was born July 23, 1959, a son of Morris and Mary Robinette Morgan.  He enjoyed fishing, shotting pool, playing cards and darts.  He was a hustler by trade. If you ask what his favorite memory was, he would say, “Riding in my Black Corvette with my daughters listing to Angel by Shaggy in 2003.

In addition to his parents, Morris and Mary Morgan, Richard was preceded in death by one son, Oscar Eugene Morgan; and a brother, Phillip Morgan, Dink Morgan, and Alfred Morgan; and one sister, Vivian Morgan.

Survivors include daughters, Teresa Marie Morgan Phillips and husband Donathan, Kimberly Alice Morgan Matney and husband Elmer Lee; and Shelby Decredico; sons, Richie Morgan, Gregory Morgan, Christopher Morgan; grandchildren, Hannah Morgan, David Morgan, Mikey Morgan, Brenton Morgan, Landen Shover, Camron Matney, Jayden Shover, and Madilynn Phillips; and a brother, Ricky Morgan.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 1 o’clock with Reverend Roger Pete Woods officiating at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV. Burial will follow in the Harvey Hawks Cemetery on Rock Ridge near Paynesville, WV.  Serving as pallbearers will be Elmer Matney, Donathan Phillips, Matthew Foley, Steven Price, Malcom Vance, and Thomas Bowles.

Friends may visit with the family Wednesday evening, May 5, 2021 after 6 p.m. to 9 at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV.

Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced.
