MCDOWELL COUNTY, W.Va. – The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office will conduct traffic safety checkpoints on Thursday, May 6th, 2021 along Route 52.

Starting in Maybeury, a checkpoint will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Alternate route will be 161.

Later Thursday evening, a checkpoint will be held at Coney Island in Welch from 9 p.m. to 12 p.m. Alternate routes will be 16 and 7.
