Local Law Enforcement Seek Help Finding Havaco Murder Suspects

UPDATE 9/23/21: Kobe Brown has turned himself in with no incident to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office today at approx 3:30 p.m.

UPDATE: Raquel Deshowna Adams has turned herself into authorities in Mercer County W.V., announced McDowell County Sheriff James Muncy Jr. and extended gratitude for the public’s help. “Kobe Rashawn Brown is still wanted and is to be considered armed and dangerous,” said Muncy.

UPDATE: The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office announced yesterday’s victim was Marcus Darcell Edwards, 32 of Welch. Anyone having information on the whereabouts of suspects Kobe Rashawn Brown and Raquel Deshowna Adams are urged to contact the McDowell County 911 Center at (304) 426-4106.

HAVACO, W.Va. – The McDowell County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed a murder in the Havaco area and are asking for help locating suspects.

Kobe Rashawn Brown, 23, of Havaco and Raquel Deshowna Adams, 34, of Welch are currently wanted in connection to the murder Monday afternoon. Both were last seen in the Havaco area on Sunday, September 19th, 2021.

On September 20th, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Deputies with the McDowell County Sheriffs Office and Troopers with the Welch Detachment of the State Police responded to a Murder in the Havaco area of McDowell County.

The name of the victim is being withheld until the family can be notified.
