Remembering the Life of Jason Ray Grubb

Jason Ray Grubb, 43, of Beaver, WV passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA.

Born October 8, 1977 in Bluefield he was the son of Kimberly Roope Grubb of Welch. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Irene “Granny” Roope.

He was the Business Development Specialist for the City of Welch and was devoted to the city and its people. He was a 1995 graduate of Mount View High School, and also graduated from Bluefield State College and the University of Tennessee College of Law where he earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence Degree. Jason was a youth baseball coach. He was a devoted husband and father of five children.

In addition to his mother those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 23 years and high school girlfriend, Stacy Grubb of the home; his five children, Elijah, Lyric, Annie, Clara and Chapman all of the home; a brother, Ashley Grubb of Morgantown; sister, Lindsey Grubb-Scott and wife Sherri of Garner, NC; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service to honor Jason’s life will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021at 2 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Stewart St., Welch with Pastor Dennis Burks officiating. Friends may visit with the family 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Jason was an organ donor, and he has been cremated.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Grubb Family Memorial Fund c/o MCNB Bank and Trust Co, P.O. Box 549, Welch, WV 24801.

The family requests that masks must be worn by all who attend.
