Bruce Lee Daugherty 60 of Gold Bond VA, was escorted home by angels on February 8, 2022.
Bruce was born in McDowell County WV, on November 10, 1961, a son of the late Bobby Daugherty and Laura Mae Colley Daugherty. Bruce was the kindest most selfless person one could ever hope to meet. He had a way of making you laugh with his humorous personality no matter how sad you were or how much pain he was in. Heaven has certainly gained a precious angel, while our hearts are overwhelmed with grief and pain we find comfort in knowing his pain and suffering is gone forever. You will be missed our precious dad, brother, pawpaw and friend.
Bruce is survived by two sons, Joey Daugherty (Ashley) of Blacksburg VA, Kevin Daugherty (Tawana) of Gold Bond VA; five sisters, Gail Snider of Rich Creek VA, Lana “Katie” Turner (Fred Sorge) of Rich Creek VA, Donna “Sue” (Carl) Turner of Rich Creek VA, Bonnie Roberts of Gary WV and Betty Daugherty (Robbie) of Princeton WV; five brothers, Robert “Bug” (Debbie) Daugherty of Rich Creek VA, Danny Hatfield (Darlene) of Grundy VA, Frankie Blankenbeckler of Peterstown WV, David ( Danielle) Blankenbeckler of Pembroke VA, and Eugene Blankenbeckler of Gold Bond VA; five grandchildren, Haylei, Skylar, Noah, Dameion, and Kirsten; and numerous special nieces and nephews. Special recognition to Daphne, his daughter-in-law, who was always there when he needed one, a companion who got up at the crack of dawn every Saturday to go to yard sales with him, a caregiver when he was sick and needed someone to help him, and a person he truly loved.
