Millie Bailey, 88, of Horse Creek passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, NC.

Millie was born September 29, 1933, in Panther, WV, a daughter of the late Cleophasus and Cosby Duty.

In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by, her husband, Elmer Bailey; one daughter, Sharon Bailey; one son, Otto Bailey; five brothers, Rush, Donald, Edward, Delbert, and Cleo; and three sisters, Raftner, Tamery, and Ocie.

Survivors include, one daughter, Dorothy Brown and husband Milton of Gordo, AL;

one son, Clenten Bailey and wife Marilyn of Mooresville, NC; five grandchildren,

Sharon Oliver Lang, Michael Oliver, Angela Bailey, Cecil Bailey, and Heather Bailey;

seven great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Grace, Jack, Seth, Jon Albert, Anyah, and Axel; 

and one great-great grandson, Rowdy; three sisters, Pearlie, Shirley, and Jean; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 12 o’clock with Elder Fred Bailey officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.  Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery at Trap Fork near Panther, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit with the family, Saturday morning, February 19, 2022, at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

Covid guidelines to be followed by all attending are the wearing of a face mask and social distancing.
