Roland Lee Potter, Jr. 71 of Twin Branch, West Virginia departed this life Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia. Lee was born in Twin Branch; a son of the late Roland and Annie Lusk Potter and preceded in passing by his aforementioned parents as well as two sisters: Inis Louise Potter and Nina Potter Church and one great grandson, Hunter Mitchem.
Surviving family members include his three sons: Steven Potter of Welch, West Virginia, Keith (Chasity) Potter of Gary, West Virginia and Kevin (Jessica) Potter of Havaco, West Virginia; three sisters: Mary Duncan of Welch, Marlene (Bobby) Bell of Twin Branch and Darlene (Jerry) Tate of Twin Branch; two brothers: Terry Potter of Twin Branch and Johnny (Sherry) Potter of Davy, West Virginia; three nieces, two nephews, three great nephews as well as two great nieces; one grandson, Brandon Potter; four granddaughters: Miranda (Shannon) Mitchem, Kaylee (Jeffrey) McPeak, Kelsie (Ben) Addair, Shiann Carter and seven great grandchildren.
Lee worked in the coal mines for many years, greatly enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing with his sons.
Funeral Service will be conducted at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Virgil Green officiating on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 12:00 PM – Noon with visitation one hour prior from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Covid-19 protocols remain in place with the wearing of masks in indoor areas and proper social distancing to be maintained during this time.
