Charlotte Marie Black, 92 of Bartley, West Virginia went home to be with The Lord on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Houston Methodist Hospital – The Woodlands near the home of her son in Montgomery, Texas where she had been living these final two years of her life. Charlotte was born July 14, 1929 in Quinwood, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Floyd Everett Bowden and Cora Wanie Boone Bowden.

Preceded in passing by her parents and her late husband, William Thomas Black as well as her late son, William.

Charlotte was a beloved wife, much loved mother and a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church of War, West Virginia who will be deeply missed by her numerous friends and family.

Surviving relatives include sons: Chris Black and wife Cindy; Dana Black and wife Teresa. Charlotte was also cherished grandmother to Christy, Nikki, Hunter, Tyler and Faith as well as great grandmother to Jarod, Tessa, Brantly and Lola.

Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Wallace Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum in Crawley, West Virginia. Graveside Services will be conducted by Pastor Gary Pennington. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
