John Michael “Johnny” Walker, 69, of Twin Branch, WV, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Charleston Area Medical Center General Division in Charleston. Born October 5, 1952 in Welch, he was the son of the late Marvin Walker and Janet Mills Walker.

     Johnny was a Preparation Plant Mechanic at Virginia Crews. He loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He was affiliated with the Twin Branch Pentecostal Trinity Assembly Church in Twin Branch.     

    In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one brother, Rev. Stephen Walker and one nephew, Justin Peake.

     Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Linda Green Walker of the home; one daughter, Leeanna Mitchem and husband David of Mount Hope; brothers, Lee Walker and wife Sandy of Welch, Terry Walker of Twin Branch, Jackie Walker and wife Letisha (Tish) of Twin Branch, Jerry Walker and wife Alice (Ninki) of Davy; sister, Katherine Peake and husband Ronald (Rocky) of Twin Branch; sister-in-law Marlene Walker of Davy; grandchildren, Jordan Mitchem and Ashley Mitchem of Mount Hope; and a special friend of the family and caregiver Sandy Hall of Hensley.

    Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM for the Twin Branch Pentecostal Trinity Assembly Church in Twin Branch with Reverend Keith Meade, officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Iaeger V.F.W. Post 1144 of Iaeger.

    Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM.
