WELCH, W.Va. – Welch will be a busy place on Friday, May 13 from 10 am until 2 pm as South Central Educational Development, Inc. and the Jack Caffrey Arts and Cultural Center are hosting a town-wide health fair with many health screenings, community resources, food, and activities available.
Attendees are asked to visit the Caffrey Center located at 143 Wyoming Street beginning at 10 am to register.
Health Screenings will be offered inside, as well as other health, wellness, and community resources located on the streets throughout town. At registration, you will get a card to take with you on your walk through town. Collect signatures as you visit booths and turn it back in at the Caffrey Center for doorprize drawings. The first seventy-five people to turn their card in will receive a household cleaning kit.
Many health screenings will be offered such as COVID testing, vaccines, HIV/Hep C, A1C, Blood Pressure, clinical breast exams, car seat safety checks just to name a few.
Lunch will be served throughout the day at the Caffrey Center. Parking for the event will be at the parking lot across the river as well as the parking building downtown. The trolley service will pick up health fair goers and take them around town to various stops.
