BRADSHAW, W.Va. – Members of Boone Odd Fellows #170, Harrisville Odd Fellows #99 and Kanawha Odd Fellows #25, under special dispensation from Grand Master Gerald Workman led a group of 11 candidates through the Mysteries of the Degrees of Odd Fellowship and instituted Bradshaw Odd Fellows Lodge #469, May 14, 2022. The Lodge will operate under special dispensation until WV GL session in October.
After the degrees were conferred, the District Deputy Grand Master Michael Kinder installed the officers elected for the term. Congratulations to newly installed officers for the current term (now through December): Noble Grand Windy Blevins-Tolliver, Vice Grand Vincent Cantrell, Secretary Carol Bellamy, Financial Secretary Micki Short, and Treasurer Ken Allen.
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows Rebekah Assembly of WV District 19 Annual Convention was held Saturday, April 23, 2022. The event was hosted by Montrose Rebekah Lodge #287 at the St. Albans United Methodist Church, St. Albans, WV.
Members representing Bradshaw Rebekah Lodge #86, Madison Rebekah Lodge #99, & Montrose Rebekah Lodge #287 were present for a day of friendship, love and truth. Absent were representatives of Charity Rebekah Lodge. The lodge representatives presented reports on the good works from each lodge and the support of the program and projects of the order: living legacy (planting trees for those who come after), emergency and disaster, low vision (providing cc reading machines to residents of WV who are in need of vision assistance), the arthritis foundation, UN Pilgrimage (taking high school students from WV to the United Nations for tour) and other projects of the order.
A wonderful lunch was served by the members of Montrose Rebekah Lodge. A touching memorial was presented by the members of Madison Rebekah lodge for all the members of the District lost from March 2019 through April 2022.
An invitation for the 2023 Convention was issued by Bradshaw Rebekah Lodge #86 for the 4th Saturday April 2023.
