City of Welch Unofficial Election Results

WELCH, W. VA. – The unofficial results from today’s election in the City of Welch are in.

City Clerk Robin Lee said the results will be canvassed in 5 days and that there were 17 provisional ballots.

The unofficial results are as follows:

For Mayor, Harold McBride led with 242 votes followed by S. P. “Pat” McKinney with 51 votes.

For Councilmember at Large, Steve Ford led with 166 votes followed by Brian Mowdy with 153 votes and Jim Spence with 149 votes.

Running unopposed for City Council Ward 1 was Kathy Gentry, who received 119 votes.

Running unopposed for City Council Ward 2 was William Spencer, who received 50 votes.

Running unopposed for City Council Ward 3 was Mike Day, who received 90 votes.
