EARL DOUGLAS COLEMAN

Earl Douglas Coleman, 51, died after a long battle with cancer on January 13th, 2023 in his home in Belgium, Wisconsin. He was attended by his wife, daughters, and grandson during his last days on this earth.

Earl was born in Welch, West Virginia on September 4th, 1971 to Douglas and Josie (Estep) Coleman. He grew up in Ison-Branch, and enjoyed showing horses as a child and teen with his brothers and father. Summer of 1991, he met his soulmate, Mary (Hurley) Coleman, and they were married in 1994. Together they had two daughters, and built a wonderful life together. 

An avid car enthusiast, Earl loved his 2007 Ford Mustang. He prided himself on having an extremely clean car, and was actively planning many modifications. He was a devoted family man. Earl loved spending time with both of his daughters and grandson. He spent as much time as possible by the lake fishing, and loved to go as a family. 

Earl is survived by his wife, Mary (Hurley) Coleman of 31 years; daughters, Latoshia Coleman (Andy) and Lacey Coleman (Leo); grandson, Braylon Lockhart; two children he considered his own, Star Egerer, and Daltan Wagner; brother, Kenneth (Reda) Justice; sister, Madeline Justice; nieces, Maggie, Angela, Terri-Lynn, and Megan; nephews, Steven, Joe, Justin, Todd, Nathan, Charles, Anthony, Shane, and Shawn; and fourteen great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Josie and Doug Coleman; brothers, George (Bubby) Coleman, Allen Justice, and Carl Justice; sister, Bettie Justice, and nephew, Cody Hurley. 

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1 o’clock with Elder David Lester, Elder Roy Lester, and Elder Fred Bailey officiating at the Panther Missionary Baptist Church in Panther, WV.  Burial will follow in the Estep Cemetery in Greenbrier Hollow near Panther, WV.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit with the family Friday evening January 20, 2023 after 6 o’clock at the Panther Missionary Baptist Church in Panther, WV.  Evening services will be conducted at 7 o’clock with Reverend Willie Coleman.
