MCDOWELL COUNTY, W.Va. – The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office reported multiple arrests made in the past month, stemming from active arrests warrants and home confinement offenses.

Deputies executed a search warrant in the Avondale area of McDowell County, leading to the arrest of 5.

Jonathan Reed, Michael Church, Roger Gibson, Amy Gibson and Carrie Rose were all charged with misdemeanor and felony drug crimes.

Officials with the Sheriff’s Office said several active arrest warrants were executed at the time as well, but did not specify which suspects.

In the past month, deputies with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office also made three arrests involving violation of home confinement orders.

Kobe Brown was arrested on December 19th, 2022, Angela Dotson was arrested on January 19th, 2023; and Jahmel Scott was arrested on January 25th, 2023.
