Ulis Grant Mullins, 95, of Raysal, WV, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA.

Ulis was born August 15, 1927 in Jolo, WV, a son of the late Tom and Belle Rowe Mullins.  Ulis was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA and president of a UMWA Local.  Ulis was also a United States Army Veteran and a Pastor of the Oak Grove Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, Ulis was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years, Mary Elizabeth Marshall Mullins; one son Ralph Mullins, daughter-in-law, Brooke Mullins, son-in-law, Roger Garrett, four sisters, Goldie Sexton, Nora Johnson, Elva Malone, and Dixie Christian; and three brothers, Andy, Jesse, and Lonnie Mullins.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Cooper Mullins of the home; two sons, Wesley Mullins and wife Kimberly of Lebanon, VA and Steven Mullins of Glade Spring, VA; daughter, Debbie Garrett of Lebanon, VA; five grandchildren, Chris Garrett, Keylin Mullins, Maeghyn Mullins, Cade Mullins and Nathan Mullins; several great grandchildren; one sister, Janie Arrington of White Pine, TN; and one brother, Steve Mullins of Raysal, WV.

 Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. with Reverend Jimmy Kelly officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Tom Mullins Cemetery at Paddle Fork near Raysal, WV.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
