Jason Gerard Wade age 39 who resided at 17 Beth Lane in Eckman, West Virginia and departed this life in the comforts of his home on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
He was born at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, West Virginia on the 22nd day of August, 1983 and the son of Tamsey Wade Kelsor of Keystone, West Virginia and Gerald Shelton of Columbus, Ohio. After completing his High School education, Jason began working and was last employed at the Wal-mart Store in Bluefield, Virginia. Jason gave his life to Christ and was a faithful member of New Vision United Holiness Church in Northfork, West Virginia.
In earlier years he was a member of both Galilee Baptist Church and McDowell Missionary Baptist Church. Jason was a quiet young man who loved reading the Bible. Also, he was a member of the Community of Praise Choir. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid fan of basketball.
Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tomie and Dorothy Wade and his paternal grandfathers, William Shelton and the Reverend Curtis Spencer.
Jason leaves cherished memories to his parents, Tamsey (Kevin) Kelsor and Gerald Shelton; his daughter, Dream Goodson of Phoenix, Arizona; his siblings: Takeisha (Kevin) Hayes of High Point, North Carolina, Leyton (Amanda) Wade of Crumpler, West Virginia, Darrien Kelsor of Keystone, Yolanda Pelt, Lauren Harris, Michael and Donovan Gravely; his paternal grandmothers, Charlotte Spencer of Columbus, Francine Spencer of Northfork and Deaconess Brenda Kelsor of Algoma, West Virginia; a host of aunts and uncles; his nephews, nieces and a special niece, Leyonna Wade; many cousins and friends.
Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at New Vision United Holiness Church in Northfork with the Elder Dorian Cox officiating. Family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM.
